But…it all needed to be updated and pulled together to align with our vision of rustic elegance, with a French country twist. Glen is unique, because he is a quality builder but also has a superior design sense. He listened to our ideas, added his own ideas, and then we collaborated on design solutions. I love all the little details that, when combined, say something personal about us and how we like to live. Glen has a talent for listening to clients and paying attention to the details. For example, I really wanted to incorporate reclaimed 100 year old barn wood into our spaces. I found an old barn and Glen and I spent a day harvesting the wood. Even though he’d never built an interior wall out of barn wood, he enthusiastically tackled the job relying on his creativity and craftsmanship and voila – the walls came out better than I’d hoped for! If I don’t understand an idea, Glen can draw it for me on the spot and in 3D. I’m comfortable making my own design decisions, but I found myself asking Glen for advice anyway on materials, design and paint selections. It was so much fun and best of all he made all our very complicated projects happen and blend together throughout our home!”

He’s been a real godsend for us over the last several years, and although his growing popularity means we may sometimes have to wait for an opening in his schedule, DalGardno Design Builders is always worth the wait.
